When preparing for soccer or lacrosse on your field, you’ll need to not only line the field but additionally prepare the field with circles. Painting a circle utilizes similar steps and practices that are used to stripe a field. Here’s your step by step guide for painting a circle using an aerosol striper.

  • Step 1: To begin, find the center spot of your circle using a tape measure. Mark the circle with a stake. If you’re at center field, you’ll want to stake the center directly on the line.
  • Step 2: Using the same stake and tape measure, extend to the radius length of your circle. This measurement will differ depending on what sport you’re painting for. You can find field dimensions and diagrams here.
  • Step 3: When laying out the path of your circle, use aerosol paint to dot out the full circumference of the circle
  • Step 4: To complete the circle, paint along the outer edge, using the dots as a reference.
