Maritza Martinez is the Assistant Director of Stadium Grounds for St. Louis CITY Soccer Club. She joins us to talk about her journey to soccer and how this role has been different as the crew awaits the final stages of their stadium build. Maritza and Meg reminisce about their time with the women in the turf team working the Little League Softball World Series and Maritza shares her hopes for future Women in Turf.

A little bit more about our guest:

Maritza Martinez has a bachelor's of turfgrass management and worked with the Baltimore Orioles and The University of South Carolina before joining the St. Louis CITY crew. After growing up in the south, Maritza traveled cross-country to take her gig in St. Louis. She is one of four crew members who will play a role in the CITY's inaugural season. Maritza is passionate about encouraging more minorities to join the sports turf management industry.
