How much paint do you need for your field?
These paint gallon usage averages are based on the following:
- 1 coat application
- 319 tip
- Airless spray unit
- 700-1000 PSI
Please round your gallons up as everyone walks at a different pace when laying out fields.
*These approximate quantities are for only one coat of paint.


Football Field – 30 gal.
- All painted lines
- Numbers
- Arrows
- 4 sets of hash marks
- 2 sets of inbound marks
- 2 extra point and kick off lines
- Coaching areas on both sides
- Team area on both sides


Soccer Field – 9 gal.
- All boundary lines
- Goal and Penalty box lines
- All corner arcs and circles
- Center circle & penalty box arcs
- Center circle spot
- Goal replacement markings
- Penalty spots
- Sideline corner kick hash marks


Men's Lacrosse – 9 gal.
- All boundary lines
- Goal creases & goal lines
- Attack Zones & Restraining lines
- Wing areas & 30 yard lines
- Face off square
- Substitution boxes
- Coaching area on both sides
- Team area on both sides


Women's Lacrosse – 9 gal.
- All boundary lines
- Goal creases & goal lines
- 30 yard lines
- Fans and hash marks
- Arcs & back dots
- Center circle
- Face off line at midfield
- Substitution ticks at team areas


Field Hockey – 8 gal.
- All boundary lines
- Striking circles
- Dotted arcs
